1. Scope of Remote Engineering Services
Herman Tangen provides remote audio post-production, spoken dialogue editing, noise suppression, audio mastering, and synchronized video interview assembly. All deliverables are prepared and transmitted digitally from Oslo, Norway to international clients.
2. Pilot Evaluation & Quotations
The preliminary audio sample audit (up to 5 minutes of client audio) is provided free of charge with zero obligation. Ongoing episode editing and monthly retainers are scoped via written quotation prior to commencement. A binding contract takes effect once the client confirms the scope and engineering estimate via email.
3. Client Responsibilities & Content Rights
The client warrants that all recorded material, music beds, background tracks, and video clips submitted for post-production are owned by the client or properly licensed. The client retains 100% of the copyright and intellectual property in all original recordings and finished master files.
4. Delivery Standards & Revisions
Master audio is rendered to standard broadcast targets (-16.0 LUFS stereo, -19.0 LUFS mono, -1.0 dBTP True Peak ceiling) in 24-bit/48kHz WAV and 320kbps MP3. Standard per-episode contracts include two (2) revision rounds within 14 days of delivery. Revisions are restricted to editorial cuts, vocal balances, and timing adjustments within the original scope.
5. Invoicing & Payment Protocols
Invoices are denominated in agreed commercial currency (EUR, USD, or local equivalents) and payable via direct bank transfer or secure electronic payment. For new production clients, a 50% deposit may be requested prior to project commencement, with the balance due upon delivery of final unwatermarked masters.
6. Limitation of Liability
While the studio utilizes state-of-the-art spectral restoration tools, audio recorded with severe digital clipping, unresolvable distortion, or severe microphone damage may have natural physical limits. Herman Tangen is not liable for indirect or consequential damages resulting from platform release delays or third-party hosting service outages.
